Miss these guys, keep meaning to watch The Earth Tour as well but can never find the time. Hope it's still on YouTube! I suppose after this long that if it was gonna get taken down by some copyright holder, it would have by now.

For some reason I remember this album being more sarcastic. Its just fun and they use the synths well to create some pretty soundscapes during a lot of their breakdowns, intros, and bridges( I get NIN vibes and even one part makes me think of the T2 soundtrack lol ) . I'm really close to 5'ing this. It's all I've been listening to.

Any suggestions on similar bands worth listening to? Particularly something with layered guitar effects with synths. Could use something new to jam while I go for a jog.

Early Genghis Tron maybe. Try Board Up the House.
Listening to this a lot lately. Science Police is a BOP.

i believe i downloaded it from this website although it looks sketchy as fuck lol so do so at your own peril
seems like its up on youtube still so i would just watch it there instead
although from my memory the download doesnt just have the film but also a sort of book they made. i have a distinct memory of a picture of a green room with band names scribbled on the wall and theyd drawn a heart around pg.99 and were talking about how much they loved that band etc.

f ya thanks Mort!
I've been on a mid-late 2000s musical nostalgia trip lately and a big part of my musical discovery in my teens was finding these guys on early YouTube, then early Sputnik, and championing them. Somehow never saw the doc, but I like a good deep dive into a very specific and unique part of people's lives, and I bet that tour was something they'll never forget, glad it was filmed.

absolutely stunning album. I love how they mix metalcore with electronic music.
Also the song structures are amazing.
Can someone recommend me similar stuff to this album? (I also really like Enter Shikari - The Mindsweep and even We Came As Romans - To Plant A Seed and also an unknown band from Ukraine, Mad Essence, "Transmission" is a really good trancecore album, same with "Rehumanization").
I tried other bands but most bands that mix metalcore with electronic stuff get trashed so I don't know what other band I could try out.

This album is a masterpiece. I can't get past how moving Shapeshift is. It feels like a gut punch every time I hear it.

Mechanical Hand and R Borlax and Pizza were my jam back in the day but I've had a big resurgence of listening to this and A Natural Death lately and fuck, they are so good. pretty wild how well they hold up.

I think they both hold up a bit better than any of their previous records, Mechanical Hand is still good but I never revisit pizza/borlax/the dank and scary shadow realm that their oldest releases inhabit

they deffo got better with time
old stuff is messy and endearing its own way
but i prefer the tighter later stuff when they got much better at playing and songwriting

I mostly jam this and R. Borlax these days. Been a while since I jammed Natural Death outside of Murder, which MIGHT be their best song.

Murder 100% has their best riffs, at the least. A Natural Death as an album also lowkey has some of the best bass and drum work of any metalcore album, lord almighty did Dash and Baby Horse put in work for this band
