Dan - I think I had this and Nevermind 4.5'd due to not spinning them as much as I used to - they're classics and In Utero in particular is still fresh as anything

The nostalgia is strongest with Nevermind though

Zak is spot on, Nirvana were the purest match of melody and rock n roll rebellion since Elvis

The teacher just told us to choose any piece of art we wanted - an album, a movie, a book, you name it - and do a short review of it, talk about why we picked it, and the impact it had in our lives.
Needless to say, I aced it :]

The Super Deluxe version of this album on Spotify is worth a listen, especially for the third disk which is Live and Loud in it's entirety.

To be honest the same manifest antipathy with the MTV generation, boiling itself down to a self deprecating tounge- in-cheek nod to the rock n roll greats of yesteryear culminating in a visceral explosion of wonton equipment destruction accompanied by a sarcastic hand clapping to the gape jawed morons in the crowd is exactly what you get now with a Brand New performance.

TDAG rules so hard.

Zak I can't take any more anticipation for that review

Remember uploading it will also bump an existing 5/5 review into the abyss : (

It is in progress son. I'm trying to trim it because it has inevitably turned into a middle aged rant against tweens and bullshit.

I have lol'd a couple of times thinking fucking hell this actually comes from the gut and is what I genuinely believe. I'm like Harry Enfields "Is that what you want, cos that what'll happen" fella. How I haven't had a stroke is a miracle.
