Then they came back, made new music and I liked it, only to find out suddenly my friends stopped being fans and hated it.

LP certainly changed/evolved, but none of it was really THAT crazy honestly. Like you can play a song from ATS or THP and totally know it was the same band that did the first two nu-metal albums. I appreciate how they changed things up but had the same mood/vibes from the early stuff. I've really liked every album they have put out but that's really rare.
