Yeah great episode. I'm hoping Kuvira keeps some moral ambiguity and isn't behind the bandit attacks, although I think she is

next episde is called 'korra alone'
hype levels over 9000
seriously zuko alone was my favorite episode, i don't expect korra alone to live up to it (because part of what made zuko alone was just how unassuming it was, while korra alone inherently has zuko alone as reference) but if it's even 80% as good i'll be happy .
|
| |
The reference is the point obviously but it'll be sweet. I can't wait to get some more insight as to what she has been doing.

lol yeah that's obviously the point, i like the comparison of korra to season 2 zuko. i'm hoping they keep it similar in spirit but let it breathe as its own story.
apparently the writers called it their most unique episode or something so i have my hopes high for this one
|
| |
Cool, I think unique in the sense that it'll be a flashback episode. They've never done a Korra centric episode like that before so I hope that's it.

Why would she be behind the bandit attacks?
|
| |
It makes total sense if you really think about it. Look how much thirst for power she has. Technically she's doing a good thing
by trying to unify everyone, but she's doing it against their will. So using/possibly paying the bandits as a scapegoat is a perfect
incentive for the reason to unify again for her.

they're gonna nail it, i just have a feeling. imo korra's character development since halfway thru season 2 has been really underrated, and there's so much depth the emotion between her on the wheelchair and her getting her ass kicked in seedy underground earthbending matches.
and yeah mongi is right, the villains in LoK have always been villainous but with some truth in what they say. i imagine kuvira will have an actual point about unity but take it too far (like amon, unalaq, and zaheer) and have some underhanded methods (like paying bandits) to get there

Second episode was great. Can't wait to see what's next.
|
| |
Damn I can't watch until later. I have work soon.
|
| |
second episode was craaaaaaaaay i feel like i'll appreciate it more once i get some answers cause the episode raises a few questions (mainly what's with that crazy korra doppelganger)
|
| |
I'm sure they'll get to that in the next episode.

great episode, I need to think on that episode some more. re-watch it a few times.
My initial reaction is that it wasn't as good as Zuko Alone tho, wasn't as emotionally resonant. Still a great episode, would prob give it an A-, if Zuko Alone is an A+

Such an awesome episode. I love the idea of Korra's mind playing tricks on her/having PTSD. Plus I think the reason the spirit knew what was going on was because Raava's energy is all out of wack inside Korra and that's what the "other" korra is. She's basically running and attacking herself. And Toph! I loved it.

Ugh that Toph reveal was pretty much spoiled in the trailer, still an awesome ending though. Yeah not as good as Zuko alone but still a top notch episode, I'm curious where this season is going since there's still no huge conflict that's been happening yet, and it is the last season...

That Toph reveal would have been so fucking awesome if the trailer didn't spoil it. And yeah I really, really liked the concept of the episode. And Korra's character is so sympathetic now. I'm not sure why I didn't fanboy over it. I guess it's so dense (despite giving ample breathing room for the events to happen) that I haven't fully unpacked everything yet

HOLY SHIT IT'S TOPH
