the only problem is that it just gives the album a sense of lacking bottom end punch

just a bit too light and clean for a thrash album but its like proggy sophisticated thrash so it doesnt even matter!

I don't think the lack of bass necessarily hinders the album, as such, but rather bass would improve it slightly.

The bass on Black and Load are one of the high points on both those albums. Also the basslines for this album weren't very creative anyway, basically 99% followed the guitar
