The lack of bass isn't even a problem, if anything it allows that badass guitar tone with those KILLER riffs to come forward more.

don't think i've ever found myself being disappointed with the bass on a thrash album tbh

Lol. Are people really trying to justify the lack of bass on this album? I love AJFA, but still.

No justification needed, it's not an issue to begin with.
|
| |
the only problem is that it just gives the album a sense of lacking bottom end punch
just a bit too light and clean for a thrash album but its like proggy sophisticated thrash so it doesnt even matter!

Idk, man. Albums without a low end piss me off regardless of genre.

The lack of bass isn't a problem per se, but it was still a waste of Newsted's talent; he knows how to play the thing.

They've always had a problem with not having enough bass on their albums but this is ridiculous

I don't think the lack of bass necessarily hinders the album, as such, but rather bass would improve it slightly.

The bass on Black and Load are one of the high points on both those albums. Also the basslines for this album weren't very creative anyway, basically 99% followed the guitar

bass is noticeable on MOP if you're listening for it
