i know a lot of people on this site have just started listening to glassjaw in the last few years so
they aren't really attached to what they do other than "ooooh cool post-hardcore". i'm pretty sure if
i was like 18 or 19 and only really had listened to them after they got back together again then i'd
fucking love this because it would be something new, but i've been listening to them since i was 15
and i'm 24 now. that's a long time to build a rapport with a band, especially when throughout 90
percent of that time there was just those two albums and their EP that were all pretty much the same
style.

not really. one sorta builds into the other. if you take kiss kiss bang bang into consideration it's just stepping stones. the same thing can be said for this from worship and tribute because it plays off of some similar parts but it just builds into a direction that i think takes out a lot of the things i fell in love with in the first place.

polar opposites was a really shitty descriptor there btw. so much of the tones of those albums comes from their production but the music is actually quite similar. go see them live, without the chunky ass nu-metal production job on EYEWTKAS they sound more like the heavier Worship tracks.

or you could look at it like the only reason i listen to 99 percent of all post-hardcore is for the
nostalgic value of it to me and without that nostalgic value i really dont give a shit. there's no
pedestal it's just that there's more than face value to factor in to why i enjoy things.

Haven't listened to this (or OCG) in a while. Should fix that.

Is it wrong that i like both of the EPs they released this year more than anything they've done before?
