Your order is pretty much spot on, only the 5/5's should stretch all the way to 'Chinatown' ;D

'Chinatown' is such a perfect Destroyer pop song, a classic Destroyer opening song.
Just has that romance to it.

It's a stunner don't get me wrong, but I think Blue Eyes is slightly better than it as a pop song, the opening notes of Chinatown are a perfect intro to the album though.

The moment the first female vocals enter is perfect too

Yeah I love the female vocals throughout.
I'm hoping I love at least one more Destroyer album as much as this but even if not this is an extremely impressive album and I could definitely see it going up even more over time - as is it's already nearing my top 50.

can someone explain why they love this so much

Album Rating: 4.5
Atmosphere, lyrics, melodies, textures, hooks, flow, varied songwriting, hell even grooves - it's all there.
I mean this isn't even really my "thing" but I can't deny that it's quality - and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Doof disciple since I've mostly felt lukewarm toward the new one.

You're a permanent figure of jacked-up sorrow
I want you to love me
You send me a coffin of roses
I guess that's just the way that things go these days...
