Oh damn, my bones are turning to dust. Ouchie.

Only reason to stick around in this timeline is to see what's considered "the great 2000s classics" in a couple years. Betting this'll be on every publication's retrospective (if they haven't jumped the gun and made one already).

I've bumped my rating because the songs are very, very good. Problem is the male lead vocals are a little screechy - I can't score It any higher than a four because of it. He always seems to be struggling to hit the top notes.

Acclaimedmusic.net has a good selection, this is #1 on it. Better than that Guardian writer poll anyway.

I love how they have The Bug - London Zoo and Rihanna on the same list. That Bug album in particular gives you mad cred in UK circles.

Edit: I never saw #1... list sucks

Yeah that Guardian list is pretty bad but thought I'd bring it up since it was just posted and does indeed list this album high.

Oh I know Boney, I just enjoy bitching about these types of lists.

The Guardian can be pretty good for music. But that list is so predictable.

"The 100 best albums of the 21st century"

What a distressingly short-sighted title.

If that's all we've got this century, I'm sleeping in till 2100.

so many strange things on that list

putting St Vincent albums at 53 and 55 just looks odd :/

Apparently 454 unique albums were chosen from 45 writers. 20 choices each.

Didn't even pick the right St. Vincent albums. What a list.

Sad that 2020-2099 is gonna be a wash though, was looking forward to the post-punk revival revival of the 2030s.
