Whatever they are; they certainly aren't traditional folk. =)

Can anyone who bothers putting their music to a recording be classified as "traditional folk"?

My reviews have a habit of having that happen.

New Fleet Foxes should distract people.

I've only heard three tracks from Helplessness Blues but so fair it sounds pretty good. Certainly have no doubts it will be better than Sigh No More.

Only basing this off of Fleet Foxes' previous workings; their self titled debut and the Sun Giant EP. Both incredibly written albums.

What do you think? Have you heard any tracks from Helplessness Blues Davey? =)

Nah Stephen. To be honest, I need to give their previous albums a more in-depth listen too. This review sort of came out of nowhere at the time. I am no folk (or faux folk) expert.

Fleet Foxes is a beautiful record. To appreciate it would be to listen to it multiple times but that is a characteristic of common, good folk music.

The song writing is divine and the music is a masterful wield of silence and pacing.

It certainly is Haha. =)

But promise me you'll really 'listen' to it. Take the time to enjoy it, you know? Lyrics and everything. It's quite complex in its simply, folk roots.

I "listen" to everything I hear... It's just a matter of if I get around to it. Or in this case; when.

Maybe hold off and listen to it when Helplessness Blues comes along. Make it a Fleet Foxes weekend. =)

Another handful of listens to this and I still don't get what people see in it. What is it?

there's a very relatable theme and the music walks the line between indie and folk. they do so well and have great energetic live shows. nobody's favorite band, but they hit so many bases effectively so a lot of people appreciate them
