This album changed my whole perspective of music when I first heard it in 7th grade.

yup

i like the fragile but this is nin's true masterpiece imo. the concept behind it is brilliant and it's carried out so well.
|
| |
its a perfect 90's album and is NIN masterpiece.
was listening to The Fragile a week ago and that second disc has serious filler. a clear case over ambition.
|
| |
yeah i agree with eyeswideshut -- too much filler on the fragile.

i actually love the filler on the fragile. yea its noticeable but i think it makes the great tracks even better and still no song bad
|
| |
idk, do you think it's one of those albums you need to spend a lot of time with? like, i won't lie, i dislike most things nin-related, but i loved this instantly, and i was fully expecting not to like it. i've only heard the fragile twice now, so

yea definitely, it took me like 10+ listens for it to click and now its one of my fav albums ever. this is reeeeally close tho

I love this more than fragile, but both are excellent albums.
|
| |
yea its not like the filler tracks are "bad" but you could easily tell songs like Please and The Mark are not even in the same league as Somewhat Damaged and La Mier. Some of disc 2 seems more like cool b-sides, while this is damn near perfect the whole ride through.
|
| |
i'll have to give it more time, but i'll prob always be more partial to this - i just love the theme and atmosphere. everything seems to progress (regress?) perfectly towards the end of the album.

Pretty damn good album. My fave of NIN's catalogue.
