Disturbed is definitely not mainstream rock, although I guess could be made that if there is a genre called mainstream metal, they fall into it.

The Sickness is really overrated though imo. Especially Down With the Sickness, I cannot stand that song. Their last two albums were a huge improvement.

Me and a couple buddies were actually having this discussion a few months ago. I'd say they started as nu-metal with their first two albums and moved into a hard rock/metal hybrid.

The guitars are really the only Metal part. There were a few Metal influences in the drums and vocals on TTF. I agree with the original Nu-Metal part.

Whenever I see Breaking Benjamin on the home page I think of Benjamin Button, but alas, it is always the mediocre hard rock band.
