You're repeating yourself, zak. I get your point and I don't disagree about pre-millenial music being potentially more mind-blowing than new stuff (not necessarily cause of its quality though, but still).

But I'm not gonna listen to music constantly thinking of its release date and what people might have thought, felt, discovered, found out while listening to it back then. That's insane. I'm not rating an album's impact, I'm rating what I hear and what that triggers in me. I don't care what an album meant for people back in the 60s, 70s or in 1253, just as I don't care what an album released two years ago means for the music scene or music listeners today. What I care about is what it does to me now, that's what matters. I won't send my brain on a mission through space and time for every album I listen to, just to feel exactly what people that were blown away it at the time of its release felt. Why would I do that?

My favourite song here is the title track. It's so fucking haunting and disturbing, especially when you read the lyrics.

That shit keeps me up at night in the best way possible.

"If you fail to be moved by How to Disappear Completley than you are a twisted sociopath with no hope, soul or most importantly taste."

That's a great song from start to finish, I love it

Only 4th best Radiohead for me but it's still amazing. I feel it to be their most overrated release however.

oh come on, you're a contributor after all

mood: cold, desolate, sad, wintry, etc.

music: a reasonably experimental mix of electronica and alternative rock, rather heavy on samples, with lots of variety (a few ballads, an ambient instrumental, a jazzy jam, dance pieces, a "rocker"...)

there you go. took me maybe 2 minutes

Am I a writer when having casual conversation or something? Lol off the top of my head it'd be hard to describe to someone who doesn't branch out in music much I'm saying.

I'm glad this is clicking so much now, after a couple of years without hearing it. Despite this I still don't think I can bump my rating any further.
