RTL was good, so was the Black album, other than that it is downhill from there

I've grown away from the Black album and I'm starting to like AJFA a whole lot more. RTL, MoP and AJFA are all excellent records.

People just label this album as the epitomy of metal at its best, and I think RTL is way overshadowed by this and might even be better. Its more diverse, if you know what i mean

This isn't as good as RTL IMO because there are some tracks on here that aren't nearly as strong as those on RTL. Those would be Disposable Heroes, Leper Messiah, and Damage Inc. They're not bad, but they're just not as strong as they could have been.

Tight review. Good job. I definately agree with you. I only just recently bought this album and it is my first Metallica album. I've always been a Slayer thrash guy, but I think that Metallica is way more melodic and the sound is much more focused. Master of Puppets lives on.
