@Storm : And Jared played it on here. He's so talented, yet he wastes it by writing shit music nowadays. It feels like his guitar abilities have declined with every album
@Cone: album's actually good and moody

Reminds me of some of Brian Eno's old ambient works.

Here’s an opinion; 30STM would’ve been a fantastic musical act if they had progressed toward something akin to Peter Gabriel’s Security album. I’m not confident that they have the talent to write really great music though.

This album rocks my cock, real hard. Their subsequent albums lost their originality, but I think they still managed to prove they can write songs well.
Not sure when they gave up on the craft.

There was a period of time when Jared Leto hid his involvement with the band, and it stopped being fun when that ended.

Album's average should be higher than all their subsequent albums.

I have absolutely no idea how the following albums managed to get a rating over 3, they suck. This album is good however, it sounds original and the lyrics are decent

I started to ignore Jared when he started to talk shit about this album. From that point on, the band was dead to me.

aesthetically, ''30'' looks better than ''Thirty'' for a band name, imo.

I can't understand why I'm still hopeful that the band will release something akin to the first 2 albums when they have already gone full imagine dragons or chainsmokers.

There's zero chance they make anything similar to this or A Beautiful Lie ever again.

Confirmed once he went full Hollywood. Never go full Hollywood.

that part in that one song that goes ''under the burning sun, i take a look around imagine if this all came down, i'm waiting for the day to (something something)'' sounds really pretty. the way the music rises up as he sings that part.
''a miracle is all so beautiful until it goes away'' that part is also pretty, same song, the rising guitars sound almost post-rock ish or something in how they rise reminds me of like the way interpol plays guitar
in fact the guitar in most of that song sounds interpol-ish to me. i really like that song, it's my favorite here. i like it so much i can't remember the name
