Nevertheless, Green Day just had a change of wardrobe and took a different songwriting approach. They sound and look nothing like The Cure, Bauhaus, or After Forever.

What I mean is that users need to manage their own posting and restrain themselves where appropriate. Before you post, think "is this post helpful? does it contribute positively? Am I going to be stirring up/continuing pointless arguments by posting this?" Based on the answers, you know whether or not you should post. That is self-moderation.

some green day fans bother me, the ones who think they are being rebellious because they know the words to the entire album and wear black and eyeliner and all that. some of my friends like green day, though, but atleast they don't sing green day songs so people will think they are cool or something stupid like that.

Its really a case of the dreaded "fanboyism" that has taken grip of green day. They became popualr so everyone thinks the are incredible and so forth.
Some GD fans dont bother me, its the ones that brag about liking them I dont like.
