Linkin Park really does an excellent job of relaying what every angst ridden, 8th grade white boy has ever fealt in the deep confines of his chaotic little soul. Numb may be their theme song. Their raw, accessible sound is the perfect medium for the venting of said emotions, and perfectly supports such unforgettable choruses like, "Its easier to run Replacing this pain with something more Its so much easier to go Than face all this pain here all alone" That's right kids. Staying and sticking things through is tough. Consequences are lame. It's so much easier to just run. Fill that void in your soul with a cheap substitute for reality and truth, and ignore the fact that others are also being affected by your actions and words.
Not only are these tortured white children being nurtured by Linkin Park's all seeing insight, but also Nihilists everywhere. Nihilism is the way, according to "Numb". When they sing the words, "All I want to do is be more like me and be less like you", one has to entertain the thought that in that very moment, Linkin Park officially achieved Nihilvana.
Simply put: Meteora is a staggering work of genius, deeply and profoundly influencing the lives of Nihilistic angst ridden white boys everywhere.

I still think lyrics on first two records are better and more genuine than a lot of newer stuff.
