bruh they wrote the same song twice and switched the lyrics to “Roll up to the mystery tour!”

They really don’t sound that much alike there’s just a thematic similarity between the “come check out our fake band” and “come on this magical tour” lyrics

the way they sound different is that Sgt pepper is good and mystery tour is not as good

Is there any Beatles expert here who can tell me what mix of Blue Jay Ray this is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Coz0TmK2ZIg

I know it says it's the 2009 Remaster but it's clearly not. Listen here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixmOAb6qzvY

This, as with all the other mixes I have heard, has the drums and bass completely panned to the left with the vocals panned to the right. It's unlistenable on headphones. The version uploaded with the video is the only one that sounds good on headphones but I am starting to believe that it is some unreleased version.

Disagreed. Tbh this is a lil step down from the post-Help! stuff. Even the legendary singles I’m like a LITTLE cold on. Great great album though

am expecting this to raise the bar substantially on Sgt Pepper's and if it doesn't I shall sulk

hehe, well i'm a brit and had a nice childhood so it's more of a case of getting *back* into them/working out where the 1 comp came from
and that Yesterday movie lmao
this is FAB and certifiably MAGICAL. fave Beatles so far for sure, miles stronger than Sgt Pep and worthy of *very enviable 4.2 for now
Blue Jay Way thru Penny Lane is an unbelievable stretch tbh, wasn't convinced they had it in them given how every other album apart from maybe Revolver has been a highlight deal for me

I do love Flying tbh maybe it can join that run. Opener and Baby, You're a Rich Man are the weakest but still strong by Beatles weaklink standards mmm this sparks so much joy
And yeah, Blue Jay Way is incredible. Someone was hacking fumes
