totally, I feel like most people haven't given it enough of a chance

as far as it goes im usually not one to be all "alb needs growing time" considering i can often tell pretty immediately whether or not something will grow on me or not but agreed, the album is so dense and cryptic that it took me a long while to make sense of. theres so much going on that i was just kind of confounded after the first couple listens, didnt really even understand what was going on. familiarity made me grow accustomed to the rather grating feel of the thing and appreciate the nuances and all that. after the initial couple listens it just started getting better and better each time. just needed to really digest it for a few spins.

I listened to it once when it came out and wasn't super impressed and then didn't touch it for a few months. I dug it a lot more later on the second full listen. also, I think Cipher Unknown is a great opener. Just as effective as Iron Galaxy imo. It does a great job of showing off the album's cosmiq production, which is it's best strength I think.
