WOW I just discovered this album a couple weeks ago and it is already my second favorite album of all time. I feel that no other album has captured and expressed so much emotion.

well that's part of the issue is that this is mainly roger waters. animals was his concept and he wrote most of the songs but i think the overly personaly edge brought down the wall, well for me anyways. this album has some highlights, but lots of shit

Yeah, Waters got most of the writing credit on 'Animals', but you can tell that all the band members had their input to a certain extent. The same can't be said for 'The Wall'.
