Sure, there have been other, more technical dudes perhaps, but his playing is part of Floyd's charm imo.

I love his playing, but I think the only real reason why PF's better with him are the lyrics... I think Pulse is a good example, one of my favorite live albums, and you can't really notice Water's absence
