kim is a terrific song. the chorus is wonderful and the lyrics, horrifying though they are, are mesmerizing and have a wonderful flow considering the subject matter

Kim is probably my favorite piece of material here too I just don't really consider it a piece of music. It's more like a spoken monologue with backing ambiánce and a single musical motif tying the separate sections together.

Kim is my second favorite Eminem song after The Way I Am.

well by that definition, BBF3 isn't a piece of music either, but what i was trying to say before was that because of the content it's really easy to miss that its a rap, and the story is told via rhyme schemes and poetry just like any rap song. Sure, it's in its own league in terms of standard music, but it's easy to overlook just how great a rap it is with the story being so fucked up

Can't really argue that at all. His delivery is just unconventional and transcends it's nature as a "rap song."
BBF3 is phenomenal as well for different reasons.

Great album! It takes me back to the good old days when music felt...I don't know.....dangerous.

This album is very alive imo, it doesn't feel commercialized or recycled like a lot of rap is nowadays.

Oh waah. I doubt you listen to very much rap to begin with.

True, but just look at what is considered "rap" nowadays. Guys like 50 Cent, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne are considered the norm for mainstream rap, and I can't find a single shred of spontaneity in any of their music.

Lil Wayne is incredibly spontaneous, dude just releases music for the thrill of it. A lot of it's good, too.
50 definitely not, but I still count that first album as a worthy listen.
And I love everything Kanye's ever done, my favourite current MC.
