I personally like how relaxed it is here, as long as they are writing professional reviews.
Plus I think you're over playing the role of a contributing reviewer.....which is they really don't have one.

I heard this first and i really don't enjoy any of their other stuff that much. Don't know if it'll be the same for you but it's very grating to go backwards with them for some reason.
Though Mordecai and Selkies are amazing, most agree with that.

interesting.
i believe it's that way for a large portion of abrasive acts. try listening to blood brothers' "young machetes" first then pop in "this adultery is ripe". you'll have trouble listening to half the album.

oh snap.
Well I've listened to Alaska and The Silent Circus already, I think I like them better because this has more dull/repetitive/rehased parts, even though it does have more diversity than any of their other albums. Its still awesome but I find it more dull than the other two.
But songs like Sun of Nothing, Ants of the Sky and White Walls make me wish I didn't lower this to a 4 while the other two are 4.5 I might push it back up thoughThis Message Edited On 04.18.08

Yeah, i always think about lowering this to a 4 but ants of the sky and white walls always tell me differently. I don't now what direction i want them to go with their next album...
I really like how this album flows and builds up to the ultimate climax that is white walls but the album does get tedious and a little samey at some points.
I'd rather they break it up into songs but keep them at long lengths so as to have the same effect that this album had but less samey-ness.
