DMDS took some growing for me though I really enjoy it now (4/5), but it's still comparatively low compared to other Norwegian second wave stuff from the time personally. First 4 Burzum, first 5 Darkthrone, first 3 Ulver, Emperor debut, a few Immortal albums etc. are all better than it imo. Has its classic moments though.
