Start with either this or Nuclear for sure. I consider this their best after being a lifetime nuclear guy

I still don't get the comparison but given their (CD) most recent album id suggest Worse Than Alone.

ChronoLOGICally is the way. Pretty much better with every release if you don’t count anything past Worse Than Alone.
Wild Gods is still fun though.

put on your rosy red glasses is the first one i heard and it made me go wtf is this and yeah they've been one of my favorite bands since. annnd yeah wild gods seems like removed from the og conversation afiac there's two eras of the band : before jon karel and with jon karel. it's kind of a shame the wild gods lineup didn't do another record cause so far their progression was like a one two punch/switch up drummer/bassist than another one two. saw the wild gods lineup like a month or two before they officially released and they slayed the back catelog, so they definitely had more chops than that record implies.
but yeah my advice to hawks is if rosy/nuclear doesn't click give mongrel/worse a try. i sent an aim friend a song off rosy and he hated it, he got super into fall of troy than i sent him some stuff of mongrel and it became like his favorite band and he came back around to loving rosy after getting into the later stuff. mongrel i'd debate as being both their most technical and most accessible, nuclears arguably their most 'scene' but of that era of like rise/equal vision stuff it's one of the definite highlights

Rosy is the best fuckin ep ever made, and civeta dei is this band’s best song

This is getting remastered. Can't wait!
Civeta Dei best song [2]
Rosy red is good if you like emo grind, Nuclear is a good evolution of Rosy's sound with better songwriting and more of a sense of humor, Mongrel is best if you just want as straight a metal sound as possible (probably their heaviest?), WTA is their most experimental and exciting, they play around with a lot of sounds which leads to their most diverse sounding album but its all thematically tight and well played. Wild Gods is a continuation of WTA although it might be their least heaviest album if that matters to you.
