origin is also one of their strongest closers
it really is, but then when you think about it they have so many classic closers (Cleanse, Stones From the Sky, I Can See You, Enclosure in Flame). An album like ToG where the closer isn't necessarily one of the album's strongest points is actually the exception rather than the rule for them, at least since EotS.

Interesting because of the four I've heard, A Sun That Never Sets is probably my least favorite Neurosis. Recently got this one though, still need to listen.

Eye was my favorite back when I first got into Neurosis but since then basically each of their albums after the first two have spent time as my favorite.
these days it's usually TSIB or ToG, but they're all awesome. Eye might have the best opener/closer combo for me.

At the moment for me, I'd probably say
The Eye of Every Storm
Through Silver in Blood
Times of Grace
A Sun That Never Sets
1/2 and 3/4 are close to interchangeable, though.

yeah my main issue with Eye is that it kind of drags in the middle of the album (like around Left to Wander/Shelter)
I mean that being said it's still a 4.5

The Eye of Every Storm
A Sun That Never Sets
Through Silver in Blood
Times of Grace
Souls at Zero
Given to the Rising
Enemy of the Sun
That'd be my ranking. None of them are any less than a 4 though.

I still like both songs and don't generally skip them, I just find them a bit tedious compared with the rest of the album
