heard Rod Stewart's version in the grocery store couple days back and couldn't help but sing in the style of Waits

This goes so fucking hard when the mood is right. Timeless album, unreal songwriting. all timer.

I feel like I'm happy with the music I've heard, there's very little that's ever going to top stuff like this. Maybe I'm just not that hungry for the hot new sound but there's so much great music already out there that I've explored quite a bit of and I'm happy just revisiting. Gonna spin this one again.

that's awesome. I love it when badass and super prolific but also super low-key artists get recognition. looking at his discog he just doesn't stop, such a tracksheet of artists he's worked with too

I do enjoy the first third (ish) of this, but my word "Hang Down Your Head" onwards is such an incredible run. Unrelenting excellence.

Swordfish is excellent but doesn’t touch this. I can see why one would prefer it tho.
Erm…. Yeah, Cohen is incredible. I find his style a lot more endearing than Dylan’s in the folk poets than cannot ‘sing’ category 😄

I need to dig more into Cohen as well. Love what I've heard from him so far.
