This was easily my favorite when I first discog'd Immortal but if I listen to them now it's ATHOW or Pure Holocaust or even DFM tbh. Might need to bump this down.

This album is a great starter BM album, but once you start getting into rawer BM (assuming you do), it loses it's zazz.

Yeah, it's really accessible and not very raw/cold/tr00/kvlt/etc. at all. The riffs are still great though.

It really doesn't lose any zazz imo, you just realize it's not actually black and just a lil' bit frosty. Like an ice cream sundae drizzled with motor oil instead chocolate fudge.
