i just find this one to be a bit too polished and clean compared to their earliest stuff. theyre better when they focus more on the black metal than the gothic metal cliches
having said that, i have a fair bit of nostalgia for nymphetamine as i think it was the first '''extreme''' metal album i ever heard even if i quickly moved past it.

I get it the black metal stuff is great too but this goth cheese power metal just rubs me in the right way. Of course this flamboyant style of neoclassical madness isn't for everybody. This album is just executed to perfection imo.
