my favorite modern rap album, I just cannot get into any of his other stuff. This is on a whole another level for me

So overrated. If you like rappers who sound like their noses are clogged this is the record for you. Poor effort by Kendrick.

"Sorry I prefer singing over talking?"

Lol

I get what he's saying. I definitely dont give a fuck about the story now that I'm not in 8th grade. I wish they were all different tracks. I also love the more commercial songs on here more than the story driven ones like I used to.

Well back then I had not even really gotten into hip hop (spring 2016) so I really needed something that was forward thinking and had a narrative to get down. Now I just don't care anymore

That's fair I suppose this was also one of the first albums that got me into any hip hop, and the narrative was one of the main forces behind that for me too. But it hasnt really lost any value to me over time. Granted, you have digested infinitely more hip hop than I have so maybe I just haven't gotten to that point haha

The narrative bolsters the album true, but the individual tracks are what give it staying power, and makes it classic hip-hop. These songs are like instructions on how to make bangers.

That would’ve made the tracklist waaay too long

Totally doesn't matter

I mean it would be a little messy but it doesn't change a thing about the music. The look of the track list is the single least important thing about an album

I’d be down for a re release with interludes separate

Daz Dillinger's album DPGC: U Know What I'm Throwin' Up has 31 tracks, about half of which are interludes. It's messy looking but it's great for individual song listening and playlists.

I don't wanna put Money Trees in a playlist and then have people talking for a minute at the end. Especially at like a party lol. Very interruptive
