Damn how did you find it that bad

IMO this album is the most consistent and fluidly progressing piece in their discog; biggest weakness is that it maybe lacks that marquee track/jaw dropper, although In The Water comes close

Damn butt sorry I’m not constantly logged into sput just reading the fucking science fiction brand new thread. And I’m not trolling. I’ve been meaning to check this album for awhile now and just didn’t get around to it until the other day. But yeah wasn’t into it at all.

I mean I didn’t read any previous comments so I don’t know if I screwed up the flow of the thread or something sorry bout it if so

Never really got into these guys. Rarely in the mood for this style of music, but I did hear this album through a friend some time ago and it's definitely not bad. Might end up actually sitting down and giving it a proper listen.

I totally get hating this record honestly. If I didn’t love these guys so much and I listened to this as a stand alone record, it’d be a 2.5-3 for me. Especially coming from someone that mainly enjoys Daisy as Widow does

Although this doesn’t sound like deja at all it kinda reminds of that album but like made by depressed people 15 years older than that and even more dissillutioned than ever. It sounds like a pop punk band who grew up and play boring alt rock now. Granted I only listened once but it was a goddamn chore and I’m not looking forward to any future listens. I gave deja the same rating

I mean I could maybe give Deja a 2 on a great day but anytime there is any semblance of good sounding music on it there’s a shitty pop punk chorus or try hard lyrics or something that ruins it. Sic transit Gloria, tommy gun, Guernica for example but really every song if I remember correctly. Guernica actually has a sick atmosphere and shit but then it gets to the chorus and I’m just like yeah that’s enough for me.
