This isn't true, Mason knows exactly where he stands. He was never gonna start and he knew it. He's a high end backup and that's what it is. Mason is a nice dude and good stopgap if needed but he can't succeed through a whole 17 game season. Rodgers at 41 is better than Mason Rudolph is or will ever be. That's just a fact.

That's true, I guess I meant from an org support standpoint - he has to be the guy during offseason stuff and OTAs and shit but then in comes diva Rodgers to take that away haha I'd imagine that's kind of annoying

Offseason is boring guys, gimme some games haha. Fun to see that my 0 to 100 obsession with football wasn't a one season flash in the pan, still following every piece of news I can get my hands on and got my first piece of merch today (a Lions cap for the upcomming holiday).

steelers essentially traded minkah to the dolphins in exchange for jalen ramsey and jonnu smith
not sure i understand trading a fan favorite for one of the steelers' biggest villains of the past decade but okay

I'll take it. I love Minkah, but he has only produced one takeaway in the past two seasons. Ramsey is still a top-tier corner even at 30. Now they have two elite corners and a young Joey Porter than CAN be elite. I love getting Jonnu Smith as well. Adds another pass catcher coming off his best season. Either him or Friermuth can be used in the slot and that can get both of them AND big Darnell Washington on the field at the same time. They're going all in Alex bro! I'm excited to see how it turns out. They could flop, but it'll be an interesting season either way!

Really hate that STL has mostly just embraced the chiefs, fuck all that, I’d rather be a man without country than bend the knee to fucking Kansas City

i can see a world where this trade works out for the better but mannnnn minkah made less money while being two years younger and playing a position that generally ages better. all while being arguably the second most beloved player on the team.
minkah could've easily retired a steeler in like 2033 while still playing at a high level for the majority of that run. why trade him for another (older) defensive player who was just traded for a third time and will almost certainly want out as soon as shit almost inevitably hits the fan. i'd have much rather just gotten picks or even an offensive player if we were set on trading him. i don't think its productive at all to have a personality like ramsey on your team if you're not a full-on contender. the jonnu pickup is nice but not at the cost of this.
