every day at work i have to clean the mezzanine and it even says "clean the mezzanine" on the schedule and it's great cause it makes me think of this album first thing in the morning and some of the catchier bits get stuck in my head

Well yes for "Endtroducing....." I guess it is more hip hop insrumental now that I think about it. But I love it what ever it is considered to anyone. I grooved to it twice in a row the other day! I also grooved to this the other day as well. Whole record is very solid and superb!

these aren't mutually exclusive things, trip-hop in the 90's was largely a combination of trip-hop and electronica so obviously you can call this 'instrumental hip-hop' since it IS instrumental and it IS hip-hop. it also is one of the definitive 90's trip-hop records.
