i went thru The National discog today in a truly beautiful vinyl binge and this was the one with the most nuanced i missed, despite having listened to it at least upwards of 50 times. strongly recommend a close listen to this and twwm if you're still lukewarm; there are so, so many intricacies, many of which make me annoyed that Berninger is foregrounded on all the tracks tbh
