still weird to me though, they clearly got over whatever was going on during these so shouldn't the music itself have risen from the ashes so to speak? and surely the fact that it was more or less their last days with Chi holds some weight

in any case, Beware, Combat & Kimdrac are my favorites here

Yeah, not to gloat, but I’m so happy I saw them twice on the SNW tour (they performed nearly all the tracks off SNW live, as well as a decent handful from s/t). The s/t exclusion especially burns as it’s my 2nd fav Deftones album.
