i remember reading an interview in 2006 with chino, he said he was listening to post rock at this time, even GYBE, and if you listen to the album, some songs have post-rock-ish moments. Especially songs like Combat.

By the way how about that ending of Beware? One of their heaviest guitar riffs. Rats! Rats! Rats! also has some of their heaviest guitar. The breakdown in that song is heavy as fuck, both songs, actually.
