vibes are telling me the steelers will draft a quarterback in the first round (21st pick) and it'll likely be a reach again. think the rodgers ship has sailed

you just don't go into the draft with mason rudolph being the only qb on your roster unless that's the plan

how are you feeling? The cost was high (I don't mind the haul for the Browns in a proper rebuild without a QB) but I'm also slightly blinded by just how much more fun this is than Travis in Cleveland. Idk this has huge box-office potential and as a neutral I want to see it play out even more now.

He is probably one of like 5(?) truly elite prospects from this year's class and the ability to play both sides is a boon, yet could also be a curse? Seems like it'll be a hard thing to "manage" at the NFL level, coaching and workload-wise

I was skeptical before the draft but now I'm feeling pretty good about it. The AFC South is completely wide open so the 1st next year could be a low first which is worth the future investment for a player like Hunter. IMO they should play him 90% CB, 10% WR instead of the other way around but we will see. He seems like a special player and if he can stay healthy, he's a smart dude and seems really coachable and could do some damage. Jags have a bunch more picks this year so they are set up to bring in a lot more young talent.



The thought of BTJ and Hunter on offense makes me super excited though. Hunter would have wasted away in Cleveland for sure.

it's odd to see a first and a second viewed as an insane haul. it's a fine return but it's for the rights to a unicorn freak. there were 3 blue chip prospects in this draft with hunter, carter and jeanty with hunter being an actual generational talent. and like vult said if you win the division next year it already evens the trade. plus the jaguars have a extra 3rd this year to cushion the blow from losing the second.

if hunter actually lives up to his potential he's a hall of famer and thinking about it more he is almost bust proof. even if for whatever reason he can't do both or isn't good at wr or cb he can pick one and focus. there's only upside. the browns will regret this massively.
