I see it as:

BF - sets the progressiveness, thrashiness, sci-if-ness, and heaviness of Vektor in an astounding way. Forward thinking but old-school enough to remain fun.

OI - Vektor starts to experiment with some more organic and interesting melodies but fall short often. Very good record nevertheless.

TR - these guys listen to a FUCK ton of Pink Floyd, take their previous two formulas and absolutely innovate on what metal is.

I want to know more about the Pink Floyd aspect, because that had never crossed my mind.

@Egarran, The Great Big Gig In the Sky is immediately what came to mind when I first heard Recharging the Void, but that's about it for me.

Haha yeah. I get more of a rush vibes from these guys but the blanket of 70s prog. is a rather big quilt so the point is kinda moot regardless

Collapse vaguely reminds me of Set the Controls for the Heart Of the Sun.

I think most death metal vocals are more accessible than these. I'm not sure why.

Probably something from my childhood.

I mean, havent these guys heard "Angel of Death" by Slayer before? how is "Tetrastrucutural Minds" so different to the point where its listenable? vocals are raspy and badass af, totally suits Vektor in every aspect

Erik has mentioned that he'll continue playing music too. So I'm not sure why the band split up, other than perhaps they didn't like working with Dave (though they as a band relocated from AZ to PA) or they couldn't see a future with the band... for some reason.
