It's not so much the tunes it's the faux thousand yard stare of a person who is tilting on an emotional abyss.

Get fucked kid choir on Degausser (Great tune though)

Get fucked "sense" of anguish on You Don't Know.

Get fucked apparent depth and torment that underlies this whole thing.

Your being lied to.

He's having an existential and emotional crisis. He has every right to write about it just as anyone has any right to write a song about anything.

Stop trying to make to this so complicated. Just say he's being over emotional because yes that's a valid criticism.

"He's having an existential and emotional crisis" in a trite manner that smells a bit try hard and

fake. The Downward Spiral or Hospice this ain't.

DSOTM, Electro Shock Blues, Dirt, High Violet, this ain't.

Joy Division this definitely ain't.

Stop namedropping irrelevant bands. It makes you look like you have no idea what you're talking about.

If you listen to anything too much or too often it's gonna wear off. I try not to jam any album I love too often so I don't do that.

The band's are there as a comparison to music I feel strikes a chord with whatever "emotional"

issue is being conveyed.

Examples to back up my opinion, that again comparitavely this album comes across as noticeably

forced.

I'll get over being called shitty or not having a clue what I'm going on about but have a justified

arguement for the case of this album being the classic so many think it is and I will listen again

with open ears and a different possibly a different perspective.
