The thing is, in real life I met plenty of cool metal fans. Though it must be said that I kinda get along most with what the true metalheads would describe as "posers"
Not like I care, out of my inner circle of friends, I'm the only one listening to a lot of metal
I know my taste isn't exactly the greatest or the most diverse, but I just like to own up to what I actually listen to

my experiences with metal fans are fine - most likely because I don't really know a lot. most of my friends are techno/edm fans and don't really want to listen to something else, yet they always want others to tolerate their shit. there are reasons I am lurking on sput and the biggest one is that I don't know any people listening to my crap. ironically, people are far more willing to listen to it, if I put it on as vinyl.
