So, what do you think about the song?

If it is not real, it's still good. I am quite positive, that despite a bit different timbre (?), it is JL. Regardless, it somehow made me like the band again, after months (a year, in fact) of complete personal neglect thereof. First I found the JL cover of REM song, now this. Heh, I guess BN will always be important to me, no matter how much I do not want it to be.

The new song has me looking into a lot of their past "rarities" and while not an official song - or even a demo - I found this to be incredibly badass:

Oh it's him alright. Kinda strange how ~whoever~ got their hands on the song to leak it.

Also, in the meanwhile, this is the closest thing to a live DVD we'll ever get:

Astounding quality for a YT recording, they play TDAG in its entirety. Exceptional performance with some incredible twists/wrinkles (inserting Tautou at the end of one of the songs, the extended outro after Handcuffs...won't spoil too much for those who haven't listened to this yet).

I saw that before and until now it was my go-to live recording. That also has the benefit of being recent enough to include some Sci-Fi tracks.

But tbh that TDAG tour I linked up there...hands down the best quality I've heard on a non-official release. I feel like I was there. Bookmarked forever.

Jeez cancel your vacation! ;-)

Jk obv, I've actually only seen them 3 times live in my whole life (which compared to some ppl on reddit is like nothing at all) and have missed a couple opportunities...oh well. At least I'll always have the time they played with mwY and Thrice at the Electric Factory. That was my favorite show ever and will never forget it.

Saw them twice. Once as a headliner, once at a festival. The headlining performance was stellar. Must have been around 2014. Fest was okay, but not the right setting for them. Just glad I had the chance.

NOW WHOEVER LEAKED THAT FIRST ONE BETTER GIVE ME MORE. Or the band could just drop all their b-sides to us, either works for me.

The “You are not Alone” part feels like a spiritual cleanse

Lit Me Up is the best song from this album

Took a while to wrest that title away from In The Water but it just has the best atmosphere

Waste is great but I feel like it's a little plain, and the whole goodbye to the fans song was all too expected so the lyrics don't really resonate with me as much

In the Water is my favorite, along with the three after Waste and 451.

Yeah In The Water is the most immediately likeable song with the longest lasting appeal. That could easily still be my favorite if I weren't obsessed with the lyrics to Lit Me Up.

Batter Up has also climbed into my top 3 over time. It's interesting that the two songs I found the most uneventful and boring on first listen are now two of my very favorites.

Same Logic and 137 are amazing too, as Talons said.
