Besides, there are a bunch of people who will most likely read reviews on albums they may come across elsewhere and that is also helpful. Just because many of them won't comment (or even rate) doesn't make it a pointless exercise.

Second that. I actually found many albums through reviews here that I wouldn't have found otherwise long before I ever commented on anything or rated albums. There's still tons of people who read reviews and shit who aren't active users.

I actually just a few days ago discovered The Sound through Bloon reviewing them.

Wow who ever woulda guessed that people go on a music site to find more music. lol.

" If you do believe that your thoughts and words contribute little then why do you bother?"

As I already said, because I enjoy listening to and writing about music. I also enjoy promoting even if in a tiny way, artists i like. And even if only 5 (not an actual number, before some moron starts quoting it) people actually read a review and appreciate it, it's worth the effort.

So given everything we've just discussed, what was the point of complaining about the number of comments and ratings a review/album gets?

There was no complain about that actually. It was just a sidefact kind of thing

Lol! That's unfair. It'd only be true if it took 13 years to find out where it was going.

Revolver mag posted a couple of ok quality videos for Invincible and Descending.

Sounds like Tool. Let's all be happy.

Nice mohawk Maynard. How come you never fail to have the most inexplicable hair ever?

I thought his hair was always a wig...or is that only in APC?

New songs sound sweet. Vocal lines seem a bit generic to me but the instrumental work is classic Tool. New album will be great I'm sure.

Sounds like a logical follow up to this one, and that's fine by me. The voice sounds generic but it might be due to lack of studio magic. I'm definitely hyped for the album now.
