maybe that was the aim. I can imagine thom yorke being like, cohesiveness wouldn't reflect the anthological nature of the work, as he files it like a dictionary

Could be. I'd love to hear them try to rationalize it tbh.

Y'all have been on the money. Burn the Witch straight into Daydreaming is jarring. So is starting off the album with the one lively, bombastic song on an album full of slow-burners. I also never listen to AMSP as one piece. I can definitely sit through HTTF front2back easier than AMSP

& The Numbers is fantastic! Thom's presence & lyricism there are angelic, almost omniscient

I feel like the awkward lumping of the last 4 tracks actually had a permanent diminishing effect on my potential enjoyment of them on their own individual merit

Those two and ful stop are such strong tracks

Identikit in particular grew on me as much as that I'd probably put it in the upper half of my top 50 Radiohead songs

nearly included ful stop,

burn the witch bangs too. and the timbre of the music is perfect across the album

Now that one I just flat out hate, but it's the only track that I straight up dislike on the album

Speaking of "new" radiohead, that Ill Wind track is a pretty lovely albeit safe jam. In rainbows vibes.

i forget Man of War isn't on AMSP

that one might top them all, though I wish it were a bit heavier like the original live recordings

Agreed, they've got so many great b-sides. But I'll Wind and Spectre, even though they're awesome, aren't able to bring relief. They should've left some tracks off and shuffeld the rest around a bit. The only track I would say is in it's right place (... ha) on AMSP is True Love Waits.
