20 years ago a 13 year old lad wearing ripped jeans, converse and a flannel top waited for Woolworths to open in order to buy this on the day it came out. Racing home to listen to it on their brothers stereo it at first seemed a lot louder and rougher than Nevermind but it confirmed that Cobain was his idol and music was the best thing out there to tune into.
That lad is now old as fuck but listening to this with hairs on their neck raised.
What a timeless classic.
