I finally got around to listening to this after putting it off for a long time. Felt like I wasn't in the right head space for a long, gloomy Cure album but I've given it a lot of time these past few days and wow. Legitimately sounds like The Cure in their prime as if they never skipped a beat after Disintegration and Wish.

This was such a 500ft home run it surprised me. I feel it is more wistful than Doom and Gloom. It does hit some heavier moments in the middle that work very well.

Ya it’s either this or Disintegration for me at least, but im leaning toward this. I think this is more consistent than Disintegration tho tbh, Disintegration just has too many classics. The title track is legit one of my favorite songs ever and im really not even that big on these guys.



Maybe I need to listen to them more but I’ve only jammed this, Pornography, Disintegration, Faith, and Head on the Door I think? Skipped basically all of their lower avg stuff aside from a song here and there. Not that I trust sput avgs THAT much it’s just so much fucking music and there’s other shit I wanna listen to. I really gotta be in the mood for these guys, I can’t casually listen to the Cure
