It’s weird for me, on this one I pretty much either liked a song a lot or don’t like it at all. Whereas on the new one many tracks have flashes of brilliance but I don’t really like many of them at all as a whole. Leaves me feeling discontent even though it’s not bad. Hard to explain

Is it better than this? Yeah but only so far that its just decent and sounds better but still doesn't touch most of their other material. Hell, I'm having trouble deciding if it even goes above Neon.

It's just the octanecore formula these days. Have 90% of songs be radiocore, and the last 10% heavy to keep the riff-heads happy. No regard for cohesion. All is simply calculated to sell as much as possible.

wow it's actually worse than this. i've mostly been into post-Augment Erra for The Jesse Cash Experience™ because the technical riffing has been generally lackluster since then but the new one barely delivers on the pop metalcore side of things. stelliform and echo sonata are the only ones that standout to me. the rest feel like a band on autopilot. also that "trilogy" is just terrible lol. 2 genericore tracks into a limp dick finale and none of them feel connected

Did not really care for stelliform - black cloud and wolf guts are the standouts for me. Very hard "3". Half of the songs just sound like echo sonata lite.
