holy shit this slaps, this kind of sound is what hardcore should have evolved into in the first place. huge, modern sound. makes an impression for sure.

I'll take this shit over any deathcore anyday

haven't noticed anything wrong about the production, it was pleasant to listen to IMO

beginning to think more and more that production is a subjective thing, unless something is really muffled or something, in which case it starts to bother me

reducing audio engineering to an eye-of-the-beholder white paper is not a perspective i can get behind sry

How can you listen to the drums on this and say production is ok? They’re completely separated from the mix and are clean amongst all the distortion

yeah the production on this is wacky as fuck and metalcore should sound like we are the romans or nothing at all

being hyperbolic but yeah i really despise the production on this. makes heavy music sound artificially heavy

Guess I've really god a bad ear for production lol

I only ever hear problems with really noticeable stuff, such as the entire production of veil of maya - eclipse for example. that album sounded plastic as fuck due to all the compression, zero breathing space for anything

but here? I genuinely had to be told something was wrong

Someone gets it! While I like this album a lot, production is not its strong suit personally. We Are the Romans is so perfectly produced.

Something in the guitar production causes me physical discomfort. So fucking abrasive. Love what this project is doing but they hurt to listen to.
