The release of this prompted me to double back and listen to everything I hadn’t completely heard before. Now I’m on Carrie and Lowell. His music is so special.

There's A World is a super good closer here, interesting because I've always thought it was one of the worst songs of Neil Young's golden era.

I guess I'm that guy that prefers the Young version to this version
Sufjan does an excellent job of making it his own and contextualizing it with this album, however

My favourite Young cover recently was the Tindersticks doing ‘A Man Needs a Maid’, definitely improved on the original

Hard to imagine, the original man needs a maid is a classic

Works way better as a depressive nocturnal soul ballad for me
Some of ‘Harvest’ has a little ‘Bryter Layter’itis, where a song is suffocated by an ‘eh?’ arrangement…thought that was one of them but maybe mistaken.
