I feel this is a "true" comeback album due to the hit-and-miss nature of their albums from 90'-98'.

As long as a band remains an amazing live act (and Maiden never dropped from their high standards in that department), they can release all the crappy albums in the world if they like to and still be relevant at the same time. Iron Maiden does more than this though, as they keep releasing quality albums after all these years.
