"touché" was for the production related link aye, the dynamics of classical music are undeniable and when metal is blessed with such novelty (lol) like Ad Nauseam's III, everyone quite rightly busts a nut

however my understanding of classical is negligible at best and I currently have very little desire to rectify this oversight. Its sheer broadness and scope is a barrier to entry and time is of the essence. Maybe one day

would rather continue to expand my jazz repetoire in the short to medium term

and yes riffs alone cannot sustain me, in fact a lot of *new* (to me) riff-centric metal bores me senseless (unless the riffs are weeeeeeeird). It's becoming increasingly difficult to impress me on the strength of that alone tbh

my preference for succinctness would suggest an affinity with a genre known for its brevity and no nonsense approach

so no of course not

(but erm... I liked Flesh s/t and something else cylinder likes, I forget now... maybe?)

Long, long overdue 5 bump. My love for metal (especially avant-garde/dissonant stuff) wouldn't be the same without it - plus there's nostalgic value here, seeing as I got into this album over a decade ago

They're all amazing but this one has risen for me so much. I've come to really appreciate all the quirks over the years. Just a special album.

That said I wouldn't argue against any Guts for someone's fav lol.
