So does anyone think any other country would host a metal band for the olympics? Like US and Metallica for example. I highly doubt it which makes me respect France a lot. Maybe Germany might have done with it Rammstein or something but I don't see any other country doing it.

As a french I'm baffled by the beheaded Marie-Antoinette / Gojira show. Never thought old ass France would do that frankly, it was great

That was one of the most french parts of the show lol...

Internet freaked out, because it was not the typical Olympics opening ceremony, held in a stadium.

For example, it is said the TV coverage was sub-par (in the Hellenic mission, the face of Antetokounmpo was constantly behind the Hellenic flag) , but I think the French considered the use of drones and dismissed it for security reasons.

The camera work was kinda weird at times but the logistics must have been insane
